As drones become more widely available, owners are finding more elaborate ways to put them to use.

One YouTuber in Russia has decided his quadcopter is absolutely ideal for winter sports, and so drone-boarding was born.

Yes, it’s not the fastest or most daring of sports, but if you could go back to 2006 and show someone this video you’d probably terrify them.

But the world in 2016 is fully embracing drones as part of, or in the creation of sport – with drone racing beginning to grow rapidly in the UK and globally.

Which to be honest looks like it’a definitely going to catch on.
